Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center is the premier hunting and shooting education facility in the nation. The center boasts 6,400 acres managed for game animals such as deer, turkey, small game, and doves. This beautiful area is centrally located in the state in a beautiful wooded setting near Mansfield, making it easily accessible from Atlanta, Athens, and Macon.
Along with many outdoor activities to enjoy on-site, the center has 28 hotel-style guest rooms, conference rooms, and a beautiful banquet hall. Participants arrive Friday afternoon between 3 p.m.–5 p.m. at Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center to check-in rooms, attend a safety briefing, turkey hunting overview, and practice shooting proficiency at the range.
Participants will hunt with guides Saturday morning and evening and again on Sunday morning. Saturday afternoon will include a lesson in turkey biology, habitat, and behavior. Participants will be educated on how to clean a turkey with any harvested birds. Participants will depart by noon on Sunday.
